How the test works
Two multiple-choice papers of about 50 minutes each, sat in early September of Year 6. Children at participating primary schools may sit the test at school; others sit it at a grammar school.
How places are given
The council publishes the score a child needs to be eligible for a grammar school place. Each school then allocates its places under its own oversubscription criteria, which can include ranking by score and distance.
How to register and apply
Register with Bexley Council during March of Year 5. One registration and one sitting cover all four schools. Name the schools on your secondary application by 31 October.
