How the test works
Both schools use two stages. Stage one, in early October, is multiple-choice English and maths. Children invited to stage two, in November, sit written English and maths papers (the girls' school includes reading comprehension and creative writing).
How places are given
Places are offered in order of final score within the schools' admissions policies, which can include priority for local or disadvantaged applicants — check each policy.
How to register and apply
Register with each school between June and early September of Year 6. Because stage two comes after 31 October, name the schools on your secondary application before you know the result.
